It will make the geometry a little different for each one but that can be tweaked out by changing the length of the control rod and adjusting the horn height. No plane is perfect and this has to be done anyway. Or just put the stuff together and fly it, probably won't matter on ailerons unless you are a precision flyer. On elevators it's a different story. They have to be matched mechanically or the two halves don't move in perfect synch.

That's right, the horns aren't the same distance from the wing root. Will it affect anything?
