Default RE: World Models Cap232-46R

I just bought this bird this last weekend. Does anyone use the wing bolts supplied with the model or have most of you upgraded to nylon bolts? That was my main problem with my Sky Raider Mach I (a high wing semi-symmetrical trainer made by World Models). I did not like the metal bolts and blind nuts supplied so I used nylon instead. The only problem that I had with doing that, is that the bolt holes are so close to the TE of the wing and I was a little concerned about the thinness of the wood b/w the bolt and TE as it was probably around 1/4-1/3 of an inch thick b/w the two after I drilled them out for the nylon bolts. Also, the wood that the wing bolts to is extremely soft balsa and I nearly crushed it when cinching down the blind nuts for the nylon bolts.

Same issue here? Also, do you guys use the method in the manual for attaching your control rods to the servos or do you use z bends or something else?
