RE: Jets for a 35 to 40 lbs thrust engine??
Hi Woj,
I actually purchased Kim Gardners AT400, and right now it is on its way to Cinci to be upgraded with Full electric start. My #1 AT400 after being sent back to the factory a few times when it was brand new has worked flawlessly, with all the triumph of that pedigree.
I will Tell you a funny story that occured to me. I received the AT400 Electric start back from the factory about a year ago, reinstalled the engine as i had done before, hooked up the red wire that grounds the spark plug and tried to start the engine 25 times with out success. I am trying everything I can think of and at the same time I am telling myself what a piece of SH_T,,, after many calls to the factory I still could not get it started. Then on one call I made to AMT Bruce asked me where do I have the glow plug red ground wire connected to, and I told him the tie down strape!!!!!!! He told me to remove a screw and put it on the engine. I did, then I flicked the start switch and shazaam..... wow it started right up. Case and point, sometimes even when you look at something you cannot see the problem. I do wish you the best on your AT400, but please be kind to the new Guys, I too have thousands of $$$$ invested in AMT I love the engines and some of your comments my not be 100% accurate, however it can sure persuade many folk who may have been thinking about a great engine like AMT to seek an engine else where, inadvertantly hurting those who need amt to work out some problems and again regain there strengh and support in the market place.
And by the way My friend Uncle Joe, said you have a few nice toys,, looking forward to meeting you some time,, why not come out to Phoenix in the winter and join us during our best time of year for flying.
Regards
Kevin
