IMHO, I really liked the Fighterbirds. As far as a trainer goes...no, not a wise choice.

My son and I have flown 'against' each other quite a few times and had a ball. Others have flown them (ours) and once they got the hang of it, enjoyed flying 'em.

But like I said, a trainer...no....
