somtimes if you put a larger than average head on an engine, you run into problems because the engine runs too cool. You don't want the engine to run too cool or the piston won't shrink enough. This will cause a tighter piston/sleeve fit and could wear your engine out faster. It would be especialy tight at the top of the cylinder brcause it is tapered.

Dont you mean it wont expand enough and cause premature wear? When stuff is hot it expands, then it would fit tighter in the sleeve, to hot and it would become to tight.
