Hobbico Deluxe Power Panel II
Hi everyone. I fly electric now, but have been building up flight-line stuff to get ready for a nitro plane I will purchase real soon. About one month ago, I bought a Hobbico Deluxe Power Panel II. Tonight I hooked it up to my Torque Master 7amp battery and plugged in my multimeter and took some readings on the 20VDc range. here are my readings from the Power Panel jacks...
Starter jacks: 13.04 VDc (that's O.K.)
Fuel Pump jacks: 13.05VDc empty switch (that's O.K.)
-12.86VDc Fill switch (That'sO.K.)
Glow Heat jacks: 10.17 to 10.20 VDc ???
I should be reading 1.2 VDc. Why is it reading 10.17 VDc from the glow jacks, or am I missing something? I backed it up with another meter and got : 11.64 VDc to 11.66 VDc. Is there an internal resistance when a glow plug is actually hooked up?? I have not tried to actually heat a glow plug. I worry about the excessive voltage. Thank you for any help. Mike
