Default RE: Great Planes Stuka weight

Ok....good news....the entire airplane is fully sheeted- so it will be easy to repaint. I will remove all the covering and paint right on top of the airframe, after filling and smoothing the wood. Need to find a lightweight filler/primer. The only complaints I read about this plane was that the covering would bubble/wrinkle in the sun. I want a desert scheme anyhow- plus it'll be easier to see. I weighed everything in the box minus the fuel tank and engine mount. Everything was weighed in the plastic bags too, which can be .3 oz each, give or take, so figure maybe 2-3 oz less total once everything is unpacked. Here ya go, in oz. , fuse=19.0 wing w/ail,flaps=30.0 tail feathers=6.2 cowl=6.7 wheel pants=3.5 land gear and lightweight tires=6.5 canopy=3.0 belly pan=1.3 harware(scale hinges, wing bracing , control rods, screws, axles, etc)= 8.0 TOTAL= 84.2 oz, minus bags, call it 82 oz./ 5.1 lbs I'm thinking (because I already have this in a Tiger 60) AXI 4130/16 + 6s2p 5000 mah + 16x10 prop, good for 1000 watts, (Thanks Greg Covey!!) 10-12 minute flight times. Will experiment with a scale 3-bladed prop as well.
