Yep, software is identical. You will want to pull the battery and rf module, open the back of the transmitter. On the throttle stick you will see a metal tab that makes it ratchet. Take out that phillips screw, turn that tab upside down and put everything back together. The throttle will now have a smooth feel, you want that for a heli. Actually once you get used to it you will like it for plane flying as well.
