RE: Gremlin help
Mother nature was cold and very windy in N J this last week. Today it even snowed, BUT there was no wind. I was in desperate need of at least one December flight. Planes with regular U/C were not an option. Snow ski's had not been fitted either. What to do?
A quick battery charge of a trusty Gremlin on the way to the field and the problem was solved. Gremlins have served me well in the past and today was no exception. I did manage to sabotage myself by flying the plane on the wrong Gremlin program. My excuse is that it was cold and there was just crazy old me at the field....
After a crazy/wild hand launch the plane needed full right aileron trim and full up trim with additional up elevator held in for the whole flight. The second flight was much better with the correct program for the model. All my Gremlins are programmed the same initially, but over time the trims do change a lot.
So with very cold toes and only one broken prop I headed home with consecutive all-weather-month number 240 ( 20 Years) under my belt. An all weather month being where I have been able to fly an RC plane at least once.....
