I agree with r/cnerd in that the AAs are too heavy. I tried energizer AAAs and the current supply was problem. It barely hovered (less than a foot from ground) for about 4-5 mins, rest of the time it skid around due to lack of power. AAAs had 850 mAh capacity which is larger capacity than stock battery, but the problem was the ability to supply continuous high current. I spent lot of time to learn how to solder batteies and purchased recommended gears, in vain. Maybe my soldering skill was not good enough. Anyways if you try let use know if it worked.
