I am looking for a 60 size biplane. I would like to hear your thoughts on which one is the best.
Don't know about "best", but as far as "fun" goes, Sportsman Aviation's WACO 60 ARF is a great plane. Not too difficult (was my 1st bipe) to fly, well built, looks great in the air and on the ground. It's a sport scale version of Jimmy Franklin's (RIP) YPF-7. Will fly on a .60-.80 2-stroke, or a .80-.91 4 stroke. I have a Saito .80 in mine, and it is plenty of power for anything except extended vertical or hovering. It does very nice aerobatics like the original WACO was capable of, and is a great "daily driver". BTW, the ARF comes with smaller wheels and wheel pants, I put a set of Cub wheels on mine for better grass handling.
It's ditributed by Hobby People, prices run from $199- $230, depending on whether it's on sale.
