Default RE: Advice on beginner setup

Having 'helpers' is fun. most of the time. My son is 9, he loves helping me. My daughter, on the other hand, is 2 and also loves 'helping' me, like thanksgiving morning.. when I woke up to Mom saying 'I dont think you are going to be happy.....'

I had spent the previous evening covering the tail feathers of my daydream sailplane.. well i was really tired, as i finished at about 2am.. i had left the fin/rudder stab/elevator sitting on the table and somehow ended up leaving an xacto blade with them... well my daughter 'helped' me by poking about 40 holes in the covering. none of the peices was spared. All the wood was fine, and she was not hurt (thank god! i dont know how i managed to leave that blade out.. i am always VERY careful, even moreso now!). I got more practice with monokote the next day, was too stuffed and semi-drunk from thanksgiving dinner to trust my covering skills
