If you want something simple to learn on that is cheap and you need not worry when you crash try the Phoenix FunStar (easy to build), there is also the TT Spirit 3D (lovely flyin plane but a little expensive for my liking, in the US that is, over here in Asia its like less than USD150). The F40 is a very nice plane but then it is not the best to learn 3D on as it likes to snap a bit when you haul the elevator fast.
