Default AON review with VIDEOS

most people are considering what bl to get for their mlst well here is what a mamba powered mlst looks like and what an aon powerd mlst looks. no their not side by side! :lmao: I just switched the motor around.

Ok for the review. The aon is one AWESOME bl motor in the torque department. It easily over came any obstacle I threw at it, except for walls! :lmao: Tall thick grass, no problem, mud no problem, dirt amazing dust flinging! On ramps alright distance for the limited space I had to work with. That reminds me I was able to kind of rock crawl with the aon mlst, well sort of. I encountered a bump that was about an inch and half or more (too lazy to go and measure) and the aon pulled the mlst over easily! So perhaps the mlst has some rock crawling future? Did I mention this motor is REBUILDABLE?

For the speed department, Im kind of sort of satisifed. I mean if I'm running in an area with limited space the speed will is fine but in wide areas I need more speed. Before you suggest changing spur gears and pinions I already have the lowest spur gear in there 50 and the highest pinion 25. I have fond other 48 pitch pinions but the whole that the motor shaft goes thorugh is too big, anyone have an idea how I can mount it on? Make no mistake if I can find some way to mount a high too count pinion on, I dont doubt the aon is capable of speeds of 45mph. Also perhaps a higher cell count would help with this. I am looking into lipos as well.

I also have the newest software in my mamba esc 1.12 I believe. Anyway I also have tried adjusting the timing and start up power and punch and throttle control. I have to say that I don't think switching from low to high or low to extreme in both the timing and start up power does not have an effect on speed for the aon. Or there maybe an increase in speed but it maybe subtle. I don't know don't quote me on this because I have no radar gun I am however waiting for my venom speed meter. If anything when I do receiver the speed meter I'll update this thread and have actual numbers.

That reminds me the temp for the aon motor never exceeded 150 when I would bash. I found it got this hot when you would bash and when doing speed run it was below this.

My setup is a custom made (by me) 7 cell gp1100

Enjoy guys! If you have any questions I'll be glad to answer them if you can.
