Several years ago my wife gave me some pin stipes to make my AC look "Prettier".
Today, I finally got around to using them

A friend tells me that they are "Automotive" pin stripes - OK - as long as they work , who cares??
They are self adhesive, white, double stripes. I applied them with some light
pressure and they look pretty good.
But; they went on with a clear plastic coating holding the two stripes in place.
Should/Does the plastic come off?
Do the stripes stand up to the pressures of flight and fuel residue?
OR
Should I just apply a thin bead of CA to seal the stripes in place?
