Chuck, if it isn't quite straight, I suggest more beer. I find things much straighter after about 7-8 Heinekens. Well ok 7 so far, but at least 1 more before bed. But then I'm actually through building for the day.

Hint: after the 6th, close one eye. Otherwise you're building a biplane.
