don't know how far you'r willing to drive but we're down here in fredericksburg about 50 miles south of you.we usealy have some one in the club wanting to get rid of something .been some trainers for sale lately and if you come down to our flying site usealy you can see it fly before you get it.might be able to get you on a buddy box .and if its a used plane the deprecition is gone like buying a used car.if i would suggest getting at least a arf if you don't buy a used one it will get you going a lot quicker
and the best way to learn to fly is burning fuel. if you are going to
a local hobby shop and want to get the best deal go over to doug's he usealy a lot cheaper than hobby hanger unless you'r looking for a copter part doug's does't stock a lot of heli items.
