OS160FX FI problems
Hello Bax.
I bought a 2 year OS160FX FI a while ago.
I did everything according the manual how to set-up the unit.
Today I tryed to start it for the first time.
The engine did not get any fuel at all, nothing out of the injector.
Facts:
-Tank set-up is ok, the pressure inside the tank is really high.
-I tryed to start with system energized, without glowplug, no fuel out of injector.
-Put a few drops of fuel via glowplug hole and the engine started but went dead after a couple of seconds because of no fuel.
-Putted a new glowpug in engine
-Did a few times the limit settings again.
-lipo's via a 6V regulator powers the receiver
Although the manual says, don't disassemble the injector yourself, I did it though.
I am a aircraft maintenance engineer so I have a good technical background.
I disassemble injector completely but did not find anything strange.
The injector was clean and the rubber parts were flexible.
Next step was to measure the resistance of the coil of the solenoid, I measured 5 ohm.
So no shortcut and no break in the cables.
I assume the injector/solenoid is ok.
Next step was to see if I could measure some voltage on the connctor of the ecu where the injector is normally plugged in.
There was no voltage measured.
My conlusion at the moment.
-The injector don't work because the ECU is not working correctly.
-The injector get the signal only if the RPM sensor "sees" that the engine is running? (rpm sensor US)
Do you have any tips?
Maybe I forget a critical point.
Many thanks,
Didier
