You can go tell your boss, Sandy Frank, that in your new wonderful position as a great AMA protector and all knowing AMA AVP, you have managed to insure that he WILL have opposition in the next election. He can run for AMA president without being a sitting VP, and that will be fine with me as it will also mean that you will not have a vote on the AMA EC. You can tell him that I am going to continue my travels but now I will be carefully searching out a good candidate to run against him. There has been interest expressed in the past, so I know it can (and WILL) be done. I guess it is time for him to start planning how to stuff the nominations with fake candidates as appears to have been done in the Holland/Cain contest. Maybe it will work but he needs to guide his shills better than was done in that race.
You are welcome to call that a conspiracy if doing so will make you feel better, but it is a promise. You can even laugh about it because it was said by a low life pond scum AMA member who is not in your inner circle.
