If you have a dremel tool they are very handy for trimming plastic spinners. As Ken said just make sure you do it evenly on both sides. I measure what I need, then draw a line evenly on both sides then use the grinding/sanding wheel attachment on my dremel, and grind to the line. It eats it right up in no time at all.
