The one thing Traxxas has going on that none of the others have is a slipper clutch...as much as I've hammered the traxxas I've never tore one gear off it...I had shock shaft issue's but corrected those with new holes and tossed some stronger springs on it...posted 2 pics of it...stock form and with 40 series moabs...both xtm's there one i run onroad,pictured aside a traxxas jato, the other offroad...the xtm's are crap.
The Jato btw tears the xtm up on the street in any aspect you want to look at it...and the xtm has a 29cc engine compared to a 2.49cc on the Jato which hits speeds of around 63-65mph.
