Default RE: after plane starts to torque roll

ORIGINAL: q8cub

After I typed the previous message, I watched a video clip of a "3D" flying, however, the torque roll was not performed in a narrow space, or in other words, the plane was rolling all over the SKY! Is this the optimum way of torque rolling?

Can you torque roll while the plane is only inches off the ground ! If my memory is ok, I remember watching a clip of a pilot torque rolling an Ultima just few inches off the ground!
A torq roll can be and will be in a wind. If you go watch the videos from the 2005 TAC, you will see the torq rolls from one side of the field to the other. The optimum performance of the maneuver will be in the same place completely vertical, but sometimes that isn't possible.
