Hi, I'm Daryl, new to the forum.

I always wanted to build my own R/Cs but had lots of problems, namely lack of information n materials. In my country, hobby stores are close to nil and those that exist only sell store-bought R/Cs. They NEVER sell props, and motors rarely go over 3V-types. Wood is even tougher to find...
Thus, I have bought an R/C hovercraft by Taiyo. I think its called the "Evolution", similar to the Edge if I'm not wrong. Similarly, it has lack of lift, biased power from thrusters, transmitter's lack of range, and most of all, HORRIBLE battery life. (clocking only about 4 minutes!) the battery pack is Ni-Cd 9.6 V. I always found it difficult to understand electricity in school, so I'd appreciate help for a newbie.
Any other tips on your improvisations are welcome too! (eg. making props from scrap, or good places to salvage motors)
* Btw, is it possible to put more power into a motor since there isn't actually a "set" amount of voltage limit? or is there?
