if you use some foam to secure the tank you can remove it(the tank) for inspection and repair if needed. it also helps with preventing bubbles in your fuel. if you can find some thats soft thats best styro. is a bit dense and doesn't insulate from vibration don't permanently mount the tank as sometimes they leak and have to be replaced. as well as the pick up line in the tank will stiffen over time and should be replaced every year or so. your never done with a plane as long as you keep it well maintained you can always pass it along to another beginner when you are ready for more of a challenge
