George,
I used standard servos (Futaba 3004s) for all functions except rudder, where I used a Hitec HS-645MG. I believe that's how they recommend setting it up. I also put a RAM glow driver on mine, mounted right up behind the firewall. Mine is powered by and OS FS120 w/pump, and with the glow driver it idles really nice.

One more thing to note on the flight. This is the first "high drag" airplane I've flown, and it flew really nicely, but it doesn't just instantly accelerate when you apply throttle. I played with this a whole lot when practicing and testing stall characteristics. Once you bleed off speed, if you throttle up there's a little lag. This is crucial when setting up for landings cause you don't have as much room for error if you slow it too much.
