I would say, using Pattern only as your interest, I would still go with the Showtime. You will be flying it without the SFG's, for precision flying, so you could send those to me, for a spare set

I flew the Quest two years ago and the beginning of last year. I planned on using that plane for Pattern until it met with an early demise, not the planes fault.

I bought an Excelleron 90 to replace it but picked up a used LA-2 to replace it after another early demise. I took the LA-2 to first place in our district in Sportsman. When I purchased my Showtime, my plan was to use it in my move to Intermediate, but my wife bought me a beautiful used El Nino pattern plane for my move. I will no longer be able to use the plane as an excuse.

Either plane, the Quest or the Showtime, would be a very good choice.
