The 16" guillows kits are very small, you need to build them at under three ounces to fly with the 01 and not smoosh themselves on every landing. The 24" warbirds are too large...the 24" civilian planes will be fine, the high wing ones.
The F-15 is a pusher. You would need to carve your own prop, not easy on this scale, as you will need every drop of power, and a hand-carved prop won't do that.
Either of the foamie mustangs should be great to get your feet wet.
