It sounds like you bent the main shaft. No biggie, about $6 to replace. When you buy one, go ahead and get yourself a second, along with a couple spindles (also known as a feathering shaft). These seem to be the things most commonly needing replacement after a crash. And sometimes it doesn't take much to bend them. If hit just right, they bend pretty easily. Good luck!
