I have since done the upgrade aswell. But had to add another tensioner as the HPI belt i received must have been a little longer than Raap51's belt.. I have also done the Genesis Metal gears Mod as metioned on another post on this site..

I have also replaced the 16t plastic gears that come with the compitition package with 17t metal ones. I ended up using one of those plastic 16t gears as a runner/guide for the side belt mods.
These are the same units as the 17t metal side gears but u have linish/grind the side of the gear down so the bearing and cir-clip can fit on. When u see the old 16t ones and the metal ones side by side u will see how much u have to grind down. Its about 3mm. The metal gears have also taken up all the slack in compitition drive belts. I know rear is 177t, front - dont know... The front belt tensioner has been wound right off aswell, leaving no adjustment. The tension on the belt is perfect - maybe a little tight - but the car still rolls quite freely and shows no signs of energy being eaten up by the belts at that tension. The whole driveline is solid! Finally!
I have set this car up as a drifter aswell, some say this puts more stress on the cars belts, some say less, but since doing these mods all belts are holding up strong. I've had to replace the front belt only because an acorn from a tree got wedged in and sorta locked the front up a bit.. The only other problem im getting now is the clutch bell seperating from the pinion gears. I have just installed a new bell that i soldered up to give extra strength. Alloy tig welding will probably be better tho as solder doesnt stick to alloy.. If it breaks again, im just going to replace the entire engine/clutch/bell with somthing else with a more solid setup.. And more hp!
Havent done much other mods to it. Just an exhaust, futaba steering servo and drift wheels/tires.
