Default RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

another recent owner of blade cp.
these forums are as much fun as the heli itself. i have had the heli for a couple of weeks. havent had much time to fly since it been raining here and the apartment is kinda small for this heli. i have tried flying it in the living room and it keeps bumping into things. Finlay had a clear evening and an hour to spend so took it out to the parking lot. trimmed it and got to flying. it is such a thrill (and no i couldnt really fly it but still it was thrilling). i managed to semi-hover it for a minute or so. on the third try i got it too high (like 10 feet, that is too high for me) and kinda lost control. went with the instincts and cut the throttle (not a great thing to do) the heli landed on the asphalt. one of the landing skids broke and the main shaft got bent. rushed to the LHS and got the parts. this is my first RC so didnt really have any experience with fixing these things. i must confess it was pretty easy. got it fixed within 15 minutes, tries it again in the apartment and it seems like it is almost vibration free. (earlier it had some vibration that i couldnt fix).
its funny but the crash was as exciting as the first flight i loved fixing the thing and i am much more confident now. i have refle xtr as wel but i must confess i only tried it once, i can see it being a great help but there nothing like trying to learn on the real thing. after all we are in it for the excitement? eh! arent we
