Yep. Some people thinks they are ready to fly without any experience. You can drive a RC car without experience, but not a plane. Without an instructor you will crash your plane again... and again...
With sim practice you can fly an airplane without any experience.

Flying is actually the easy part. Picking the right electronics, engines and setting the CG, trim correctly is the hard part.
