FIRST SOLO!! (sorta)
I started in this hobby about 2 years ago with an Aerobird Challenger which I lost in the wind and for all I know is still flying the wild blue yonder. After the Challenger I upgraded to the Parkzone J3 Cub (it's still in one piece). But for Christmas this year, Santa brought me a Parkzone Typhoon 3D, my first 4 channel airplane.
First flight was the trim flight which I did myself (gutsy or stupid, I don't know). Had a perfect landing 20 feet away. Subsequent flights were a little more relaxed and a lot more fun. Brought the plane home in mint condition. I was definately hooked before, but now I'm thoroughly addicted and my wallet/budget hates me for it.
Technically this was not my first solo flight as I am fully self taught with the Challenger and J3, but those planes were toys compared to the Typhoon. So to me, this is a major milestone and my first 4 channel solo, and I am thrilled so I had to share!
Thanks,
Adrian
