Default Engine adapter

Hello,

I'm in the midst of building a Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane and I plan on installing a 120SP. I've already completed the firewall assembly and would like to utilize an 'adapter' that I can make to mount between the engine and existing firewall. I would make this out of aluminum. I've heard these planes typically require weight up front to balance, so I'm not too worried about the weight of the adapter. I've attached pics so you could see what I mean. Let me know if you think this would work and be able to handle the stresses, etc..

Thanks for any input!
