Remove the blades and stick your Allen wrench (hex key) in the screw that holds one of the rotor grips on and turn it as to loosen or tighten it. Watch the opposite grip and see if it wobbles. If it does you have a bent fethering shaft.
Looking at the exploded parts view in the manual, would that be the "spindle" that you are referring to?
