Other than providing an example of how NOT to talk to beginners, I can't see that you have provided any new information. If your drill sergeant approach works with some, more power to you. The lead instructor at our club flew (and instructed I believe) fighters in the airforce. If anyone COULD have an approach like yours, it would be him. He's got the experience to justify it. However, he's not that way at all, thank god. Instead, he's very soft spoken, patient, and helpful. It only takes a couple minutes with him to realize that he knows his stuff and is worth listening to.
