yes it is ok to use them in both but if your running a failsafe it is better to use nicd

is it ok to use rechargeable NI-MH 'AA' cells in the reciever and the transmitter?
for me it works out much cheaper to purchase 12 rechargeable AA cells and an AA cell charger. Each cell is 1300mAh.
Would this work?
