Default RE: jet pack project

ORIGINAL: Gazzer

I had an intriguing look at the pictures and then hit the website which is www.skywalkerjets.com.

The comments are based on what I could see, and may well be totally erroneous, but.......[:-]

I think it may well be a huge hoax, but if not then I have serous concerns and would not be flying it!. Firstly all the motors point down, what about lateral stability, i.e you can go up, but how do you tilt across on axis!!! I am assuming some icnredible gyro stability and puffer valves would be required, and we know the throttle response of out turbines, its good but not that good.........

Where does all the fuel sit? There appears to be little flight control mechanism if you look at the hand holds, they appear, well, hand holds and not joysticks as such.

I could be very well wrong, but this does not strike me as a flyable and workable project. Apparently it has taken two years to get to this stage, and I reckon with the angle iron and steel clamps used, Eddie Weeks could mill it up in 1/2 day or so!

If I am wrong I heartily apologise, but would eagerly learn more.

And if I bought it now as a name I'd call it The Titannic.
