brettw,
You can not use the serial cable that works with the Walkera 4 channel on a 6 channel. I have one here and can confirm that it does not work. I used to run it on the 4channel TX fine. I ordered one from [link=http://www.milehighwings.com]Milehighwings[/link]. You should not have to uninstall PPJoy if you are using the USB cable since it is only running when you start the program manually. The cable connects to the USB port and should be recognized by Windows (XP anyways).
There is a serial cable you can get for the 6Channel transmitters and PPJoy should work fine with it. PPJoy works only on Com1. If Com 1 is used by any other application like ActiveSync for your PPC it will not work (happened to me). If you have the serial cable, you can use it with PPJoy. If you have to purchase one, go for the USB style.
That is right, the two cables are different as there seems to be a minor wiring difference... (the PCM signal is on a different pin).
However the 6 channel cable sometimes provided with the kits, will work with PPJOY.
Some of the newer Walkera transmitters also need a modification to work with the serial cable. This seems to vary from TX to TX and is not consistent.
