Default RE: 3-view help

www.bobsairdoc.com

Bob has over 38,000 3-views and is the only authorized dealer for Koku-fan 3-views. Koku-fan has a great P-51D 3-view. Give bob a call and see what he has. He also has 3-views from foriegn sources. Koku-Fan 3-views are by far one of the best 3-view sources I have seen so far.

Be careful about what 3-view you pick to develop our drawings from. For Example there is a 3-view for the B-29 that was drawn in the late 40's that has a rudder shape that is not correct. Some 3-views are artist drawings and were never intended to the scaled for actual dimensions, these 3-views were meant to be used for general viewing. The Paul Matt series of 3-views were based upon actual dimensions.

Always compare the 3-view to actual photographs of the aircraft to see if they are correct. Example - I am looking for a 3-view for the Bristol Frieghter and Aeroplane monthly published a great looking 3-view several years ago, but to my dismay the wingtip shape is completely wrong when you look at pictures of the real aircraft. Be very careful.

Good luck
