Most of the small glow powered foamys barely have enouh power to keep themselves flying and as for flying in breezy conditions, forget it! There are exceptions of course but after watching videos of the higher performance ones I think they would probably be too frisky to control for a new flyer by himself. CG has good advise. If you are really interested in RC then find out from your local hobby shop where a nearby RC club is and go vist them. Training is free when you join a club and you may even find someone that will let you try their trainer (on a trainer box of course) so you don't crash it. You will learn more about this hobby in 2 hours at a club than in 6 months of reading about it! The plane as listed is $139.00 and doesn't include a radio.
