A lot of people are still doing what you do. It does work, you are just not getting the most out of your servos. I tell people if they are happy then stick with what you are using. I do feel you would notice a difference. You might try posting to see if you can get feedback from people that have used the PowerExpander or even other units like the PowerBox and Emotec. The only way to really get an advantage out of the PowerExpander is to beef up the wiring coming into the unit, if you keep single 22ga wires coming in you will not see the full benefit of the PowerExpander. If you want to use your old Fromeco stuff with the PowerExpander I would look into having the wiring changed to a heavier gauge and adding Deans plugs. We offer two packages for the 40%+ planes. One comes with just the TurboReg and PowerExpander and the other adds some Equalizers. Please let me know if I can answer any more questions.
