Default RE: jet pack project

What's the spool up time on one of these engines??

Just thinking, like if your coming down, vertically, then..... when do you rev up... chuckle.

Army and Law Enforcement....... imagine, having broken into the bank....... stealthily running away at the back when suddenly

JETPACK MAN. Stand aside citizen while I make the arrest.... Whhhhooooooosssshhhhhhhh

I am pursuing this felon in a vehicle, I'll just tap on the drivers window and get him to stop

Actually you would not find many police officers volunteering for this........

Be interested to know from AMT if they sold these engines, or if he has had them made as just the outer cases.

Reading the Jetman site seems they have very little to say about the technology but that it only last for 1/2 minute, and is steam powered, so is more rocket than jet like.

Whilst at one of the UK jet events a guy there had a rocket shaped model with a turbine at the bottom, and was developing puffer valves and electronics to be able to get this baby to hover. At least it looked a lot safer!!!!

Bu then genius and madness are quite close just as a fool being easily parted with his money.

Think I'll choose a new name... Icarus, remember the story!!
