First check that the switches on the front of the tx are as follows:
AIL Down
ELE Up
THR Down
RUD Up

Does your tail rotor turn counterclockwise when looking at it from the right side? If not then either the switches are set wrong or you need to flip the motor connector over to reverse polarity of the tr.
Of course the propo could affect this also.
