Default RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Howdy Aero Ace fans . I got mine yesterday after stumbling on this post a couple weeks ago . I have one flying season under my belt . I started with a T-Hawk went to a Space Scooter and then a .40 balsa trainer and then a Duraplane .40 trainer with an Os .46 AX engine . I got hooked on the glow planes and still am . I always wanted an electric back yard flyer even though I am into the glow now . We have 2 local TRU who both had allot of Aero Ace's at Christmas . I had one 2 channel plane the Aero Bird Scout which I am sorry but it sucked . I was very leary spending even $30 on another 2 channel plane till I read how happy you are all with them and saw the awesome videos . One TRU sold out and the other had 1 left . I couldn't believe how small this plane was when I opened the box and I thought oh brother what did I waste my money on . I charged the little guy up went outside and what a blast . It would be great if it had 3 or 4 channel control but then it would cost a whole lot more . This is my 2nd day flying it and even though it can't handle any wind I flew it in 8mph then 4mph winds in my back yard . I can't believe I can stand on my patio and fly the little guy in my back yard with trees and all . For a 2 channel I was able to control the AA quite well . I like it the way it is but I have read about the mods of making it a mono wing and putting that wing as an extension on the top wing . If I do these mods what do I gain ? Will it handle more wind ? Will it still be as easy to control in a small area ? I can't do aerobatics with this little guy but flying around my 1/2 acre yard with trees and garage and house is a challenge and a blast
