Default 3250 mid-range problem

Hi,

I have a 3250 which I bought used with a plane. The previous owner drilled out the clunk in the tank and ran the extra large fuel tubing in the tank and than to the carb. It didn't run well so I installed a perry pump (using extra large fuel tubing) and set the carb in accordance with Super Tigre recommendations as outlined on this forum. I leaned the engine to the point that I had good high end and decent idle but the mid-range is bad. The engine will surge in the mid-range and it appears like it's loading up. I tried to tweek the spray bar but it didn't help.

Should I keep leaning the low end even though the idle is good or maybe run smaller diameter fuel tubing as with the pump it may be getting too much fuel??

Thanks in advance,

Dave

PS.

I'm using the Omega "Super T" fuel and OS-F plug
