Actually, it's the ME/BF-109's that have the narrow gear you're talking about. The FW-190's gear is about the same configuration as a P-47 or Mustang. But you're right, a tailwheel would make things MUCH easier.

A tailwheel would be nice. The FW-190 had a notoriously narrow landing gear. If the manufcturer stuck to the scale width, it might be a handful with or without the tailwheel.
