If you are flying off grass, a skid works quite nicely -- but it you are flying off a paved surface, a tail wheel is a lot more desirable.

A tailwheel would be nice. The FW-190 had a notoriously narrow landing gear. If the manufcturer stuck to the scale width, it might be a handful with or without the tailwheel.
