GP PT40 kit
I'm in the porcess of building the PT-40 (my first experience with building an R/C aircraft), and have arrived at step 9, page 38 in the manual - preparing the wing for sheeting. I have temporarilyattached the washout jigs to each wing tip. My question is: can one half of the wing be sheeted and allowed to dry before the other half is done? More specifically, must the center of the wing and both wing tips be supported during this process? My workbench isn't long enough to allow for this. What I'd like to do, if possible, is weight down the center (root) section at one end of my bench, and one tip with the jig at the other; then glue the sheeting. Once this has been completed, I would repeat the process for the other half of the wing. My concern is that this may cause differential washout (warping) of the wing. If both must be done at the same time, I guess I'll be heading to the dining room table.
