Default Carf Yak 3.3M Build

Hi Gang

I didn't see a build thread for the 3.3 so I thought I'd share some info to date.

Stabs

The Stabs turned out well I was able to bolt the four JR8611 right into there mounting position however to setup the linkages it requires to build them outside then remove the hardware. Bolt in the servo plates and recheck your servo throws in case something got shifted.

The Match box was interesting I elected to make this very usable and Silicon it in the Stab opening completely out of the way and it's Vibration damped.

Heres a good one.

A fellow I was talking to asked me if I was going to balance the Stab. I told him it was aerodynamically balanced. He and I talked some more and having done this to several other planes decided he might be right.

To balance the stab is not the goal but just to give the Hammer area a bit more weight for and loading problems.

Then I spoke with a CARF Rep and he advised me that 3/4 of an ounce is all thats needed.

Any of U Guys doing this on any of Ur Yaks?

Ian
