RE: Goldberg Yak 54 Engine choice
the ZDZ 50 is a great engine, but it really is too big for this plane. It weighs about the same as a DA 50, which is a pound more than the Brison 2.4 (all up weight, including muffler, ignition, and battery).

Also look at the OS 1.60, Moki/Mark 1.8 or 2.1. The big Saitos are great too. The Brison will be almost 1# heavier than the Saito 2.20, and the ZDZ/DA about 1# more. The OS 1.60 should be 5 oz or so lighter than the Saito, with the 1.40 shaving another 6 oz off the 1.6.
Bob Pastorello has some good information about this plane on his website, [link=http://www.rcaerobats.net/CG-Yak/Yak_Main.htm]HERE[/link], and also here on RCU.
He went with the Brison.
Good luck! This will be a fun plane. If you keep it under 15# it should fly quite nicely.
